I got a radeon 9600xt a few months back. Everything was workin fine, then, I installed Tiger Woods 2006 and now my pc crashes after about five to ten minutes. I've played many a game without a hitch, even hl 2. When I reboot from crash I get error "serious error may have been caused by display video driver." I've updated drivers and still same thing. Any thoughts? Thanx.

I need to add that I get crashes from playing simple web games. Not all but some. I also just recently reformatted and reinstalled window xp. Could I be having a conflict with onboard graphics? Thanx.

thats why i recently built a pc.got that error constantly, dont know why either, but it is a pain.as time goes on it gets worst right?this mobo has no onboard video and i havent had any problems like that anymore.knock on wood[i just knocked on my head...lol]my direct x kept getting corrupted to before.everything seems to run better without onboard stuff.i had a problem with the onboard sound but windows update fixed it for me.maybe you can go there and see if theres any updates that pertain to that.dont do expree,so you can see whats going to download.hope that helps
