Okay those are the recommended stats that I ran on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com for Microsoft Flight simulator X. Now it looks to me like i will need a better video card so i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions or have seen any great deals lately on video cards. I have pci slots.
Is this a prebuilt PC? If so it will have a weak power supply, therefore you won't be able to plug in a high powered graphics card. Flight Sim X is pretty much strictly available to nVidia users, so something like the 9500GT is about as good as you can do without causing power issues.
You do not even have a video card; what it found was your onboard video. You might not even have a slot to add a video card. Without knowing what mainboard or PC model you have, it is hard to make any recomendations.
True, but with a CPU as powerful as a E7400, I reckon there's a good chance of there being a PCIe 16x slot there.
Sorry, yes I do have a pci x16 slot. And I might upgrade powersupply if needed. Any suggestions on those?
PCI was only ever 1x. Only PCI express allows 16x. For basic graphics cards, a 400W Corsair CX or 450W Corsair VX will do nicely. For more powerful ones, the 520W HX, or if you're going really high end, a 620HX.
