I have had a Nvidia Geforce 7600GT card for over a year or so now. When I first bought the card, I had it connected to my old TV using an S-video cable and I needed an rf modulator on the TV because it had no S-Video port. I didn't use the setup much, and I disconected the S-Video cable some time ago. I bought a 42" TV this week, and wanted to connected it to the computer, same as before. I went through my boxes of parts and found the S-Video cable. But when I tried to connected it to the computer, it did not seem to fit. Then I saw that the video card's port has one row of 4 pins and one row of 3 pins. Here is a picture I found online of the same card (it shows the port I am talking about): http://www.ixbt.com/video2/images/g71/7600gt-front.jpg I do not remember using an adapter when I had it connected last year. I went through my things and found an adapter that fits, but it only has 3 wire composite video on it. No S-Video. I guess I must have had an adapter, but lost it. The S-video looks like it should just about fit into the 7pin port though. But I don't want to force it. So, if I need an adapter for it, what kind of adapter am I looking for?
