I am using Pinnacle Dazzle 80 for video capture in Nero 7 from VHS using the composite leads. Problem is i keep getting too many dropped frames (averages about 20% of all frames) which ruins the video when you watch is back. I also have done the video capture in Pinnacle studio and it also drops frames, not as many as nero but its stilling annoying. Is there anything i can do to reduce the number of dropped frames in either program?
There are several places to find how-tos on capturing video. Probably the Pinnacle site has some as well as here. You might also check the below sites: http://www.videohelp.com/ http://www.digitalfaq.com/ http://club.cdfreaks.com/ Video work is CPU intensive stuff. To capture it, you need a fast hard drive and a good input avenue. If you have anything running in the background, try shutting it down if it isn't necessary. Sometimes there are settings where the capture program is required to send the video to another location, like back to a camera or such. It might help if you removed that requirement.
