Would anyone happen to have any information on video compression? I am looking to create the same compression on my own video files (to eventually be burned) that can be done using 1 click DVD. 1 click DVD automatically compresses video files to fit them onto a DVD5 Disc. I need to do this with my own video files.

What do you Mean this is "Non-DVD Related"?? It seems to me that this is a 100% DVD related Question as you are asking about DVD compression aren"t you??

What determines how much Video you can Fit on a DVD is the Length of the Video Files and the Bitrate used to Compress them ,so if you have some Video Files that you want to compress to DVD format(Mpeg-2) so they will Fit on a DVD then all you need is a "Bitrate Calculator" which will tell you what Bitrate to use to Compress the Files so they will fit on a DVD, You will also need a Good Mpeg-2 encoder as Mpeg-2 is the format used on Standard DVD"s and you will need a DVD authoring Program to Put the Mpeg2 Files on to DVD.....

    Cheers
