motherboard is a asus p4sd-la i believe the video is actually a video card because after opening the case it looks like there is one in the pci slot.

is the card in white slot or brown slot? your monitor is connected to that card or to onboard video? what does it say on the front of the case as in pavillion 2430 or something like that?

card is in the blackish/brown one and my monitor is conencted to the card in that slot. As for the pavillion honestly no clue cuz i cant find that anywhere i do see however it saying HP Media Center m000 http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn83/anbushinobimoto/GEDC0347.jpg

far left pci slot is my wifi pci card. one to right is sound card. then open slot then the graphics card in the dark colored slot.

Hey this is my friend and I told him to come here. Thanks for helping ddp.

He bought this desktop off of another friend who had no need for it after he bought a new computer.

If I remember right this was a custom built desktop that had Ubuntu (Linux I think) on it and was purchased at a pawn shop. So the best info we can get on this comp will prolly come from CPUZID.

We swapped parts into it and RAM, then installed windows.

I'm guessing since the slot the video card is plugged into is brown, its an AGP video card. I agree that pulling out the card and looking at it is probably our best way to identify it.

Also there is a chance different CPUZID versions might identify the graphics card right?

The latest CPUZ (1.5.5) identifies everything on my board except for my 2 RAM slots.

card needs to be pulled out of the computer as appears video card fan & heatsink is full of dust which is not good. it is an agp card which is better then pci & onboard. pull it out & see what is labeled on either front or backside of card. reason for asking for model# of the media pc is that the card might have came with the pc from hp so the drivers would be available from hp so need the model#.
