yes people its me again.... forever sending out an S.O.S. I've checked the forums and I've caught glance @ few editing tools mentioned here and there and I've tried a few but nothing has really impressed me so far. I want a full spectrum video editing tool, price is no factor, with enough bells and whistles I'm willing to pay top dollar, of course I'd rather not, but I'm tired of messing around. I want to be able to cut and chop any size file, preferrably any file type (including audio files) I want the ability to drag and drop audio onto video despite the video having its own audio ( if it could mute the prerecorded audio on the video to ad mp3 or other audio of my choice that would be great) basically I want a video labratory. Im a video buff that has audio obsessive compulsive disorder.... lol I'd kinda like to be able to edit the video in real time... but thats not as important as the other features... I guess what I'm saying is I know this software exist ... somewhere out there ... just have yet to be so resuorceful as to find it.... please help... any feedback would be appreciated

Sonic Scenarist is NOT an editing Program is is a DVD Authoring Program so it will Not do a Video editor any Good..... Most Good Video editing Programs Cost an arm and a Leg and are very Difficult to use.... Being a Video editor I have Tried Many Many Different Editing Programs and have spent over $20,000 on Editing Software over the years (Most of it Collects Dust) and have Come up with a small Handfull of editors that are really Top Notch but still difficult to learn..... These are the Ones that I use on a Regular Basis... Sony Vegas Video 6 Adobe Premier Pro 1.5/2.0 Canopus Edius 3.5 Avid Express DV 4.0 I rescently found a Very Inexpensive Video editing Program ($50) that totally Blew me away with it"s Features...This Program has allmost every Feature that Vegas or Premier Pro have Pluss Many others that these programs don"t have unless you Buy Plugins Like it supports Native Mpeg editing (Editing without Quality Loss) has Dolby AC3 audio Support (Encodeing and decodeing) has a Huge Variety of Filters and effects and Transitions and has Good audio editing features and has a Pretty Good and Fast Mpeg-2/DVD Encoder and has Pretty Advanced DVD authoring Features all in a $50 Program.... This Program is called "MagiX Movie Edit Pro v10.0"..The Program is Marketed as a Basic 1,2,3 step sort of Program but it definately is not that type of Program at all, and it also comes with abot 4GB of extras like Images and Clips you can use in your Project and Menu"s ect that you can use for DVD authoring and Many other extra"s.... It just Might be what you are Looking for and all in a Very In-Expensive Package..... Cheers

for Minion... You sound like you've used many editing programs. I have a question for you. I've always used Pinnacle products. In fact, it's all I know. I started on studio 8 and now have avid liquid pro. My question to you is. Since this is all I've ever known...is there a more powerful, yet more user friendly software than avid liquid. I find it's not terribly hard to use. However, without going in to detail I think the software is very unstable and with the release of avid liquid v7 I think, the whole avid crew is a bit unorganized and I feel like I'm using a powerful tool which is somehow controlled my complete imbeciles. I find it to be...well...incomplete at best and you can't call for tech support because they have no idea what the hell is going on. So my question is. Is liquid as good as it gets or can I get a program just as or more powerful, with all the bells and whistles of liquid, made by a competant company. If there is I'd like to stay within the $1000 range.
Well If you Look at my Last post I Listed the Ones I use On a regular Basis so Try one of those....The new Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 is Pretty Good but I prefer Vegas Video.... I guess it depends on what you want to do..... I hear you. I've got the v7 with the $1000 price tag and I feel like I can do better, especially for the money, considering their studio 8 was close to what I needed, and ran about $350 after all the plug-ins etc.
