Does anyone know of a video editing software (shareware or commercial) that lets you join mpeg-2 clips together with transition effects (dissolves, etc.) without having to re-encode the already encoded mpeg-2 files?

The software you want to use is freeware, its called TMPGenc. I love this software, and swear by it for just about everything except for SVCD encoding.. anyhow, back to the subject

    1. open TMPGenc
    2. click file, then mpeg tools.
    3. merge and cut.

    Good luck.
