long time reader first time poster, i was just wondering if someone could point me in the way of a good video editing software for my project. My project is my annual family football game that we are recording. We want to add a box for the team names their scores, down and yardage to go stuff like that. I want to do it like games you would see on tv. anyone no of the best software to edit my video to add those affects? Thanks.

I would Recomend "Adobe Premier Pro 1.5" with "adobe after effects 6.5" which should let you add the type of effects that you want But it will take you a very Long time to Figure out how to do it....

"Pinnacle Studio 9" isn"t nearly advanced enough to add these Types of Effects and "Roxio Easy media Creator 8" can"t do any of this Stuff so i don"t know were that suggestion came from....

You could also use something like "Sony Vegas Video v6.0" with an effects package like "Boris FX" would Probably do what you want and also maybe something like "Adobe PhotoShop" to make the Score Boards or any other Static Images you want to use in your project.....

doing this type of Stuff is not for the Faint or heart and the easilly discouraged as it is very difficult to figure this Type of Stuff out especially if you don"t have any advanced Video Knowlege Pluss there is a Lot of Terminoligy that you will have to Figure out as a Lot of the Features in these programs will sound Foreign to you so you will have to do a Lot of research just to figure out what stuff means.....

I went to Broadcasting school for 3 years to become a Video editor and I could Barely do (If i was Lucky and had Lots of Time to spend)what you want to do so for you it would be even more Difficult....

I wish you all the Best...

    Good Luck
