Video Editing Software

    Hi, I am new to Video Editing and i was wondering what is by far the best Video Editing software. Price is not an obligation.

    well it all really depends on what you want to do. If you just want to do some basic editing like capturing video, editing or combining clips and adding text and audio, basic transitions, you can go with decent consumer level editing systems like Pinnacle, Vegas Video, Sonic, or Ulead. They are usually in the ~$100 price range. But if you want to do heavy editing procedures and have room for much more creativity and options, you might consider a full-blown professional editing app such as adobe premiere pro or avid xpress. both systems are in the ~$500 range. they are much more complex and have a much steeper learning curve, but have boatloads of more options and functionality than basic editing systems.

    So like I said, it really depends on what your needs for editing are...
