I wan't a good powerful video editor. open source would be great. It would be also great if it takes advantage of 64 bit processors.

I want a program almost exactly like "cinelerra" but for windows.

the top professional video editing system for windows are Avid Xpress and Adobe Premiere Pro. Premeire runs ~$400, Avid is much more. I don't think you're going to have much luck finding open source apps like video editors. Companies like Avid and Adobe don't want people tweaking with their programs.

All that comes to mind is Virtual dub, which isn't exactly streamlined. You could go for Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0. It runs for about 70 to 80 bucks, try some shopping around.

Use mediastudio pro 8! Best software ever. You can get it cheap on ebay.
