I have downloaded some tv episodes to burn (.avi). However, when I add them in Nero to burn to DVD, Nero counts each fike (275MB) as around .6Gig!. Why is this happening? At that incorrect calculation, I'll only be able to store about 7 episodes per dvd! Also, the encoding takes forever. Please help!

Once the AVI files are transcoded by Nero then the size of the file increases, usually a 700mb AVI file becomes around 3gb or around 2.5 hours ( a normal length movie)

Thanks, that makes sense. However, this larger size is determined prior to encoding, when I initially select the file from my hard drive to be added to the list.
