When I occasionally download a video or tv show (Azureus) I find it is considerably darker than it should be. Is there a software package that can be used to improve the brightness of these downloads? Am I doing something wrong during downloading?
What program are you using to watch these files? More than likely, the brightness settings are set low if this happens to all files. You said "occasionally" which could be the file itsself and cannot be fixed more than what the player's settings allow.
i use PowerDVD and it plays other movies just fine. The problem just happens to my downloads and not all of them.
It's just the file then. Just the way it was ripped or filmed. Can't help it much although, you can adjust the brightness in PowerDVD. Max brightness in your players setting is as far as you can go.
