My friend gave me my wedding video, today on a wd external hdd, and none of the files have extensions. He said they were recorded and formated for quicktime, so i i added the .mov extensions and they play audio but no video.i changed it to .avi, and .vob and still no luck.audio and no video. He said he recorded it in hd but i think i would see the video regardless.i tried playing it thru quicktime, nero showtime,wm player and ulead and still no luck? Any ideas would help thanks.

You need to ask your friend what you or he can do to rectify the problem.

Does he have the video camera that he videoed with, and does he have the tape(s)? Or, is it a hard drive video camera?

At any rate, if you can borrow the camcorder, you can dump the video on your computer.
