I'm new to OSX and I am trying to play my animes that have been encoded in various compressions. Such as Divx, Xvid, and OGM. Is there a tool for OSX to detect the codecs and is anyone aware of any all in one packages for OSX or where I can even find codecs? I installed the 3ivx codec pack for OSX but my videos still did not play. Also does anyone have any video players to suggest other than Quicktime?

    Thanks in advance!

3ivX should decode both XviD and DivX fine. Your problem would be getting Quicktime to parse the ogm.

    Use mplayer or VLC instead.
