Recently I downloaded a .mkv file, ive been doing searching on the net about it of course. Found a working codec/s for it and now the only problems I am having is the following: - Playback in WMP 9 causes it to play both english and japanese. Yet I want to remove the japanese part of it anyone know a way how? - Due to the two playing languages i am unsure if it will be like that say if i convert it over to a .mpg or such type file (im fairly sure the dual language thing will copy over.) - Due to not being able to rid myself of the 2nd language in this anime movie and due to the unsureness of being able to convert it (if needed) if i can even burn this to DVD using nero Vision Express 2. Anyway any help is appreciated, hopefully i can get this solved by the end of the day and i can have this movie burned as such too lol. Edit: Lil more info, did some more searching, didnt find much more info on it. But i do remember seeing in these forums the virtualdubmod method of getting rid of the extra lang. How long does that all take from step one having the mkv file to actually getting it to a playable .mpg with no 2 lang's playing together? And i guess last question is, is there any other way of getting rid of the japanese lang in there? Seems that the process from the Virtual dub thing might take a while.
You can convert them Matroska files easily to AVI :- http://www.riverpast.com/en/support/tutorials/convert/mkv/avi.php
http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/ since i don't use wmp9. try media player classic. but anyway in mpc you can try to select the audio.
Well I really want to burn this movie to DVD, but before i can convert to AVI i need to find out about removing the japanese off it, so that it will only play the English, and english subs.
