Video Question

If you have ever seen the movie Disturbia when they are following the Killer in the supermarket, the girl ashley or whatever takes pictures and it goes straight to the computer of the kid kale on house arrest. She had it like a live feed were she would take multishots but then were did she send it to have it on the computer directly...I thought that was pretty cool and I do not know if this is possible in reality or it was just for the movie. If it is true and you can set something like that up..How would you do such a thing
