Video settings in MS Dashboard won't save

    I recently picked up an HDTV, and I can go into the original MS dahsboard prior to XBMC and change the tv settings to 1080i. However, everytime I turn off the xbox the settings revert back to 480i. How do I get it to save?

    yep. the problem is that the xbox ms dash settings won't save when the xbox is turned off. 1080i/720p works right after I change the settings, but not after a reboot.

    I believe only XBMC can make use of the resolutions above 480i! I simply turned on HD setting in the dash, then booted into XBMC! Set up the HD in XBMC and I've never looked back!

    Maybe you have a corrupt MS Dash?
