video/x-msvideo not playing in ares

i'm downloading a vid in ares but it wont play when i try to review it.i had this problem before and somebody found a program to download which solved the problem.i've downloaded some codecs but these don't do nuffin.plkease help

 

hi, you dont need any software. i have had the same prob and found a solution.you will need to get realone player (from www.realone.com and get the free player) unless you've got it. Then close Ares and go to your folder (the one with the movie in it) and run it using realone player and it will work.

one other thing. you may need divx player to play some movies (get it from www.divx for free).

 

actually u dont need dixv player 2 play dixv movies ,once u have divx codec then u can watch it using any video player,i usually watch it in "windows media player"
