Alright, so what I'm trying to do is convert an .avi file with subtitles into a DVD file so I can burn it to a DVD-R, and I've gotten stuck at the VIDEO_TS section. First I'll explain how I've gotten here, in case anyone can recognize a mistake I've done along the way. So far, I've converted .srt into .sup, and converted the .avi into an .mpeg with TMPGEnc. Then this gave me 2 files: a .m2v video file (which was 3.8 GB) and a mpeg file (which was 200 MB...is this an audio file? when i opened it, it produced a black screen with audio only). Anyways, then I opened IFO Edit, and mixed the .m2v, the mpeg, and the .sup file and it produced the VIDEO_TS folder. Now this is where I'm really confused... When I was entering the video, audio, and sub information, it asked me where to save it, so I chose a new folder called "NEW DVD". Some of the new files went into this folder, and some of the new files went into another 'VIDEO_TS' folder that the computer randomly created. In the 'NEW DVD' folder which I made, there are 8 files: VIDEO_TS.BUP (6 KB) VIDEO_TS.IFO (6 KB) VTS_01_0.BUP (66 KB) VTS_01_0.IFO (66 KB) VTS_01_1.VOB (1 GB) VTS_01_2.VOB (1 GB) VTS_01_3.VOB (1 GB) VTS_01_4.VOB (1 GB) In the other VIDEO_TS folder that the computer made are 6 different files: VIDEO_TS.BUP (8 KB) VIDEO_TS.IFO (8 KB) VTS_01_0.BUP (14 KB) VTS_01_0.IFO (14 KB) VTS_01_1.VOB (41 MB) VTS_01_2.VOB (300 MB) There is something very strange though... the 'NEW DVD' folder which I created...when I play back the files, the video and audio plays fine, but there are no subtitles. But when I play back the files in the 'VIDEO_TS' folder that the computer created, the video and subtitles are fine, but there is no audio. What's going on? Thanks in advance for any help.
Do you have that AVI file? Then you really want to do that DVD with this program: http://members.home.nl/thefilmmachine/ AVI to DVD and you can add subtitles also...
