I have a Pioneer DVR that I used to record a college football game. During the game I saw footage of my student in the stands and decided to use the footage in a home movie dvd. I copied the stored footage of my student onto a dvd-rw and tried to import it into my movie-making program (Pinnacle Studio version 7) but my computer would not read the dvd-rw and the file was a video_TS file. How can I get this footage copied from my DVR or DVD-RW to Pinnacle?

Try ripping the DVD-RW to your HDD using DVDFab Decrypter or DVD Decrypter and then use DVD Shrink if needed for compression and finally burn using DVD Decrypter or Imgburn. All the programs listed are free and can be found via google search.
