Hi bygnauth, welcome to AD. I would suggest you download 2 free programs that will allow you to complete your DVD. The first prog is DivxToDVD and the second is CopyToDVD, both made by VSO. I will give you the links shortly. First you create a file on your HD such as Video_TS, this is where your files will be sent after conversion. Open DivxToDVD and type this file in Destination, then in standard check either PAL or NTSC and lastly check the box that says burn with CopyToDVD. Then hit convert and the two files will be converted, joined and burnt. Heres the links you need

and click on this link for CopyToDVD.

    Hi there,

I use DVDFAB express for the decrypting and to copy to my hard drive. And I bought some software called 1click £30.00 and it then takes whatever film you choose and compresses it and burns it onto DVD... it's really simple.

I also don't have to file share and open my pc up to virus's.

This is great for a really easy to understand... http://dvdcopysecrets.com/dvd_copy_basics.htm

    Best, Annie

@bygnauth, thats disapointing to learn that you cannot use those prog with ME as its a really simple way to go. Do you know what format your downloaded files are in, by knowing that I should be able to offer another solution. I also was not aware that the link to DivxToDVD was unavailable, I think there is a few problems to iron out. Anyhow get back with file type.

@gear79, this is something I wasn't aware of, DiVxToDVD not compatable nor Nero with ME. What prog would you suggest bygnauth use. My next move was to steer towards Nero.

For playing AVI or DivX movies, I used DivX Player (free basic), Nero ShowTime (comes with Nero Digital), QuickTime (free basic).

For converting AVI files into DVDs, I used Nero Vision 4 -- this baby can do a lot of things.

@alkohol, I've asked this a couple of times in other threads but no answer. I have full version of Nero6(with s/n) but when I went to upgrade to Nero7 they asked for $$$$ is this correct?

How long have you had your Nero 6?

A friend of mine was able to successfully upgraded from Nero 6 to Nero 7 Ultra (for some reason, he said after he downloaded Nero 7 and installed, it auto detects his Nero 6 serial key and upgrade right away). I don't know how long he had his Nero 6, but he said it came with his Lite-On burner when he bought it.

I purchased sometime this year. When I went to download trial version of Nero7 I had to completely remove Nero6. I tried it for the month and liked it but as I said if I have to pay more$$$ I will stick to 6. Thanks for your reply.

Have you tried to run the Nero 7 setup file only and install it "without" removing/uninstall your old Nero 6? That's what my friend did and it just automatically detects his Nero 6 serial key and boom... it accept it. I'd said, give it a shot because you'll still have your Nero 6 key right?
