[bold]r.burgy[/bold] did say downloaded [bold]video[/bold]. There was no mention of a movie or a name of a movie. I don't think that someone just saying they downloaded a video should get such an immediate reaction and warning. I know there are thousands and thousands of legal video downloads on the Internet and unless someone specifically refers to something illegal, I think they should get the benefit of the doubt. With out knowing what type of video you are referring to, I would guess it is a codec problem. Posting the file extension would help. .avi, .mpg, .asf, .wmv, .rm, .mov. Try to find what codec your video file needs with GSpot. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm Get that codec. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/
IMO, AviCodec is a better choice than GSpot so you should try that out too. GSpot is good but AviCodec also has support for a lot of other formats too!
major props to verblin...awesome point...it sems a little too coincidental that with all the hype about the RIAA and movie-weenies....this site is getting more and more gestapo-like...i'm a very loyal fan of this site and promote it every chance i get..but it's getting a litte ridiculous
Well hang on a sec man, even dRD said the forum rules could be a little bit clearer but for those who dont know this is kinda the way aD users deal with piracy related posts........ If someone says they got a movie and the source they got it from then they have broken the rules, if they say they got a movie and mention the name i usually remove the name of the movie! So ye there's nthing wrong with this post but as I said earlier mate, even the main man says the forum rules could be clearer!
