Sounds good. I just got one also.

I see the instructions on bindepot to change bins with the cable. Anyone know how to use the flash drive and USB port?

I just found this on ecoustics. had no problems. Also does anyone know if there is a way to record with the Ultra?

Loading your BIN using USB Jump Drive

    · Connect all the cables to your box/TV
    · Turn the power ON from the front and back switch
    · Press Menu key
    · Select Installation and press OK
    · Select Antenna Setup and press OK
    · Select your Sat.
    · Here if you have a DISEqC switch enter the port #, Motor or Legacy SW
    · No LNB Type need to select (from new, you have only two selection Standard and Universal). STB will select your LNB Automatic
    · Press Exit and select Yes for saving the settings
    · Your back to Antenna Setup screen
    · Here you have Three choices:
    1. Channel Scan
    2. Auto Scan
    3. Blind Scan
    · Select Auto Scan
    · Press OK
    · You are in the Auto Scan window and you see the Bird(Sat.) you selected and on the top of your screen are three options:
    1. Search option
    2. Network search
    3. Scan Start
    · You don’t change nothing, go down and select Scan Start and press OK
    · You do this for all the Birds (Sat.) you have
    · Now its time to download your BIN
    · Insert the Memory Stick in your PC and transfer the bin in. Than insert in your STB and in the Main Menu select System information and press OK
    · Select Receiver Upgrade and press OK
    · Go down to the bottom of the window, select USB and press OK
    · A new window opens with some Korean files, years, etc.
    · In the bottom of the window, it is your bin selects and presses OK
VERY IMPORTANT. DO NOT TURN THE POWER OFF
    · After you load the bin, the STB will reboot automatic
    · Wait for Autoroll and watch TV

This is one of the easiest stb's to set up, if you pay attention to it while it is loading. If things seem to have stopped, or slowed down, leave it alone, it is doing things internally. It will reboot by it's self and then things should come on.

I have never loaded it with the cable, so don't know about it.

It was the first box I bought, knew nothing about setting them up and was scared to death of seeing it go up in smoke. The hardest part of the whole installation was pointing the dish. When I got that done, I was watching tv in less that 30 minutes.

It is a great box and has excellent support, now if it just had IKS.

I hope your right, as most say, it is easy.I have new ultra coming. One issue I would like feedback on is this: I was running cs 5k with just single lnb. Now, I want to upgrade one dish to get 110 and 119, and add 2nd dish for bev. Now that cs is down, I cannot set up new dishes. (or can I?) I wonder if I should wait and get NEW ultra up and running, and then try other sats. I'm afraid I might run into trouble with box I not know, and dish that I hope is pointed right. Any thoughts? Thanks and hope I see others from the cs gang joining us here. Great thread! (Bill, how they biting?)

Cooled off over here and slowed the bite down.

I am only getting two sats. If it was me I would get 110 and 119, then add the second dish for bev. It just seems to me that it would be easier. If you can use your cs and find the sats now you can set up the dishes and then when the ultra comes, all you will have to do is install the newest bin and put in the settings and everything should come up.

Thanks for the input Bill...and I am going to do just like you said. One big help is that cs working now, so i will get up there and mount 2nd dish and get everything working on cs, so when my VS comes, I will have it all up and running.
If it were walleye you were fishing for, I might be able to give you hint or two. But never fished striper or fished that area. Spring will come? We just got 2 feet more snow at cabin :) (Northern MN)

Spring is here, it was in the 90's last week, back into the mid 70's this week. It hasn't been warm enough to warm up the water. It should be in the 100's by the end of the month, that'll warm things up.

Good luck with setting up the dishes.

Take all the information you get at ecoustics (other wise known as the zoo)with a grain of salt. A lot of bashing and bum info there. I check in there all the time just to be entertained.

The only way I know to record off the ultra is hook it up to a vcr.

New file is out. I tried bindepot but the file looks small so I got it from tvkeyz link.

Harle, check your pm for link dealing with all the lnb probs you been having. Did you solve it? I am doing same thing, but more snow this week. It has every lnb you can think of, and how to run each dish.
