I have a ViewSonic VA 720 LCD monitor that started to get dark over several days. I can see the graphics on the screen, but it is a very dark blue tint that is impossible to use. Also, the front panel buttons do not seem to work to change the tint or brightness. Can I have this repaired, or should I just junk it and get another.

First off,Have you tried plugging the monitor into another computer to verify that it is bad? If the monitor is indeed bad...how old is it? If it's more than a couple years old you might want to simply replace it. You could call a couple local shops and ask for an estimate but chances are repairs will be expensive. It's really up to you.
    Best of luck!BW

You might not even need another PC. If the onscreen menu for the monitor itself is dark and blue tinted, the monitor is the culprit. I would spring for a new one. Getting these repaired is not very cost efficient. Plus odds are that it will crap out on you again in the near future.
