I have many LP's and Cassette Tapes dating from the late '60's and I have toyed previously with converting them to HDD and CD. These attempts have been reasonably successful but I am one of those afflicted with 'Perfectionism', so, I'm seeking those similarly afflicted, to advise me. I have everything I need to perform the recordings but what do the Guru's here advise on the computer side, programs and such? Also, and most importantly, some of these vinyl's are filthy. What is the most effective way to clean the grooves?
hi i havent used the program but a friend has try using cool edit pro you can convert using this you can also split a downloaded single album into individual tracks cool program
Thanks for your response to my post. I researched Cool Edit and it appears to be a fine program. As i'm still in my 'research' phase of this project, I have been recommended a program called Steinberg Clean for cleaning up all the noise I've been experiencing with my .wav files. Before I shell out some fairly serious bucks (for me, pensioner) has anyone used this program and what is your opinion?
