Ok lets see if I can give as much information as possible so not to make this thread longer than needed. I just got a Viper Extreme and installed it last night. I have no casing on it right now so that I can test my dvd-rs before I buy a regular sized dvd casing. I have burned Paper Mario at 8x (says invalid disc or disc read error or something) and 2x (seems fine, but I havent seen a video yet). Mario Sunshine I have burned at 2x (Loads and stops about 2 minutes into the single player intro video) and 1x (Same problem at different spots in the video). I am using the Cobra 1.2 BIOS flashed by usb. Once flashed, I changed the usb off of programming mode. I guess after all that, I just wanna know if it is my media (Maxell 8x DVD-R) or if it is a buggy bios system. Hopefully its nothing worse than that. I got a successful flash and the Viper screen pops up every time. Maybe its just Mario Sunshine, but regardless these coasters are stessing me out. Even if you cant help me, thanks for reading this novel of a thread.

My burner doesnt support 1x i have concluded, and all of my errors are during video sequences. I can play Mario Kart Double Dash fine, but the intro video results in a disc error unless I hit start and skip through it. What a hassle.

I am getting this same problem after installing Viper-Extreme when I play the original disc. "I can play Mario Kart Double Dash fine, but the intro video results in a disc error unless I hit start and skip through it." I did adjust my pot to 130 ohms after I intalled the viper. Does anybody know why?

Burn at 4x with ImgBurn and see if it works any better.

Also, Mario Kart: DD won't play properly if video force is enabled. I don't know the default settings of the Cobra BIOS, so I thought I'd just throw that out there since the only way it'll work with my Qoob Pro is if I set video mode to auto.
