Hello, I'm new to the GC modding scene and I have ordered a Viper GC chip and I am wondering what bios to use. After looking around it seems the cobra bios are the top pick in most cases, but I am wondering if the GCOS would work with my chip. Is the GCOS just an opperating system or is it bios too? Thanks.
Apparently, some of the people have flashed GCoS to their ViperGCs since it can do video forcing (PAL game on NTSC TV or NTSC game on PAL TV) whereas the Cobra BIOS can't. So, if you don't need video forcing use the Cobra BIOS since that's the only thing it's lacking in comparison to GCoS. Also, GCoS doesn't support ViperGC Extreme's USB ripper, so if you want to use that you have to use Cobra.
can i use the broadband adapter without the phantasy game to rip the game to the pc and burned it from there?
Yeah, the BBA is used with numerous methods that don't require PSO. I use it with a qoob Pro and GCOM to back up games.
Who are the producers of Cobra BIOS? I am trying to find their site. I wanted to save it for future updates?
Viper Team makes it, but you aren't going to find it on their site. You can only get the BIOS from third party sites such as modthatcube, tehskeen.net, and Max Console.
