Hello, I installed my vipergc extreme chip yesterday with no problems. I flashed the bios with no problems and everything seemed fine, but when I tried to backup a game using the usb backup tool I got an error message saying Cobra BIOS isn't responding correctly, try again. I reflashed four or five times, that didn't fix anything. I tried to flash the cobra 1.5 bios, that didn't fix anything. Does anyone know whats wrong? From what I understand you plug the mini usb connecter into the chip and run the app but this guide http://www.iso420.com/ngc/vgce/index.htm says something about connecting the usb to the broadband adapter? All help is appreciated.
If you scroll down that guide you will see a picture showing the GameCube on its side. The picture shows you where to plug the USB adaptor into. It is next to where it starts to say:- "The USB interface comes with two small plastic spacers to attach to the bottom of it so that it will rest firmly when the GameCube is in its upright position" Click on the picture to enlarge it Mick
