Hi i have Virgin Media Cable broadband. Currently my Set-top box acts as the modem which aparently can only do 4.5mbps and i have a 10Mb connection... Rather then buy a modem i want a Wireless Router modem if this is possible? Could anyone send me in the direction of one? Thank you very much :)

    hello
    I am on virgin broadband
you would be better getting virgin to fit a modem has you can not buy
    a modem

you can not use a router which has a modem build into it they are adsl router which will not work on cable broadband

which you buy a wireless router make sure you tell them it is for cable broadband

i am using a netgear wgt624 v3 which works ok for me

i hope this was some help
