What is Virtual CloneDrive in reference to Anydvd, CloneDVD, etc?

For anyone who has ever purchased Anydvd, CloneDVD and/or CloneCd from their site (slysoft.com), do the program(s) come in the form of a CD in the mail or a download?

If you have AnyDVD and CloneDVD, do you still need DVDshrink to make the file smaller?

@bestmiller, you now have 4 threads going at once which is against forum rules. Any questions asked can be done so in one thread, just continue to ask but only in one thread. If a mod comes along he will give you a warning and close the other 3 down. The answer to your last question is you only require DVD Shrink if the file you intend to burn exceeds that of DVD , that is 4.3g

gwendolin, Bestmiler appears to be following forum rules of 1 subject per thread tho 1 of them might belong in another forum.

As far as AnyDVD: this is a software that detects the CSS encryption on the DVD's that you place in your ROM or Burner; blocking them from your system, enabling you to copy/Burn the DVD to where you'd like (Including "Drag N' Drop")
CloneDVD: will copy a DVD movie to a DVD burner, image file, or keep the IFO, BUP, and all the other files on the disk to any location you'd like. "CloneDVD" (the new release, anyways) will do this all on its own; "WITHOUT DVD SHRINK". i'm having absolutely no problems with either of them; and i'm, usually a user of DVD X Copy Platinum.
"AnyDVD" and "CloneDVD" work very well together; but if you have other DVD burning software, then "AnyDVD" Will allow Copyrighted Movies to be burned.

"Virtual CloneDrive" on the other hand i'm still trying to figure out. Everytime i try to use it my computer shuts restarts on me.
information on how it works is all explained in the "Manual" file that's supplied with the installation.
Click on your start button (if you have this installed) - find "Elaborate Bytes" / "VirtualCloneDrive" / "Manual"
it actually goes through the whole installation, first; but at the end of the page that it shows you, it tells you what it's used for.

Which, ofcourse, is only to play back images that you've created with "ClonDVD" or "CloneCD" - it'll probably play back any other image file, too; i just haven't been able to get one started.

Virtual Clone allows you to mount a image(iso)and watch the movie without having the disc in your computer. Since i'm leaving more movies on my hard drive lately i don't have to go get the disc anymore, just mount the image and watch it. After install go to my computer. Right click on the Virtual drive click on mount image choose your movie.

i just can't get the thing to work at all.
i keep trying with all types of images: Movies, Music, HomeMade images files, and ISO applications.

everything that i mount on the Virtual CloneDrive shuts down, or restarts my computer. Apparently my systm just doesn't like it there.

    Brand new system, too.

    just Pentium Extreme dual core

    Asus board - 8Gb Ram

A lot more space on the comp than what i need, so i'm filling it up with image files of my movies, and music.

Virtual CloneDrive still won't work for me, though.

anyone got any sugestions on that one?
