Virtual dub--can't detect files.

    When i use virtualdub and i try to open my video files it says: cannot detect file type documents/settings/usercompthelookout.flv, any help?

    Is that a flash video?
    Virtualdub is for .avi

    yeah it is but idk how to convert it to avi except convertxtodvd which leaves a waterprint

    You have to scroll down a couple of pages before you find the download.
    Drag the file to the window,set the 'output container' to avi.
    Check the box next to the file name and click 'encode active files'
