Just recently I have been receiving this message. I have 2 sticks of 512 MB however my Nero logs only show 512 MB , my CC Cleaner prog also shows 512 MB and to top it all my system specs now show 512MB, I dont know why all of a sudden the other 512 is not showing up...I should have 1Gb. Any help would be appreciated....I am way out of my depth here (venturing out of the Nero forum)

What does the BIOS show? If it only shows 512, then you have a problem. I would pop the cover and pull both sticks out. Use a pencil eraser to clean the contacts (carefully) and put them back in. Check what the BIOS says now. Hopefully it was just a bad seated chip.

A bios is the setup menu for the Motherboard.

    Do you know your computer?
Most of the tiem its simpely pressing delete while it comes on.

right click on my computer and then click properites it should say right there what your Ramm is.

Virtual Memory is HD space XP uses to sort and cache info for pograms.
