Virtual Memory Problem, NEED HELP ASAP

    Hey guys, i have a big problem. My computer says i have low memory and it decided to make some virtual memory or some crap, and it says tat some applictaions might not work. Well, i didnt copy wat it said exactly b/c it only said showed message for a few seconds. Anyway i have 1 gb ram, and the problem is tat my toolbar is locked, and it wont let me right or left click it. It makes tat bing sound. When i restarted the computer (3 times) and it starts up, i couldnt click anything at all for like ten minutes, which never happened before, and the task manager as well is not responding right. WHAT DO I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!

    (I Have 189 gb harddrive with 24.1 gb left

    You can change the size of vitual memory......

    Got to START then HELP and SUPPORT and type in virtual memory.. (see pic)

    Virtual memory should be managed by the OS. It kicks in when your amount of free physical RAM gets below a certain point. I would have a look in task manager and see how your memory is allocated. You could have several background process's running that don't need to be. Windows will always use some amount of virtual memory by design but you shouldn't be getting a pop up notification unless it's excessive.

    You can always try "Process Explorer" for a more detailed view of allocated memory. www.sysinternals.com
