I know this has been asked before as I have searched it. I uninstalled my previous version, used the clean tools from nero and reinstalled a new version (7.0.5.4) with a serial number that I know to be good. (Came straight from the store today) But when trying to burn a DVD I am still getting the low virtual memory error. I have 512 ram and no other programs running. I opened up the window task manager and watched the commit charge the entire time. When it started it was at about 360m/1832m, but as it ran it went up to 2 something and then gave me the error. Any reason why this is happening?
Try this: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/.../sysdm_advancd_perform_change_vmpagefile.mspx Do you have any other applications opened at the same time, like antivirus, P2P? Make sure that you set the "High Priority" for your Nero appl.
http://computer.howstuffworks.com/virtual-memory.htm Virtual memory is not the same as physical memory. That is your physical memory. You need to increase your virtual (pretend) memory. Read about virtual memory in the link above and make sure you understand it before implimenting it.
I have read it, and I still don't understand it. Why would this just start happening all of the sudden? I have never had any problems before. Also what would be a ideal range to chane it to? I believe it was set from 768 to 1351
I think the ideal would be the lower range at least 1.5-2 times higher than your RAM value., so i would go with at least 1000.
Well I can't seem to get it to change. I tried and it shows it's changed but after I accept nothing has changed.
