This so called sunchronised version of the VirtuaDub doesnt keep audio sunchronisation with video. Thoise 3 different timing options doesnt make any difference. Atm. I'm using asus xx266-C motherboard with integrated C-media sound circuit and Hauppauge Win-TV-card. All the time audio is getting longer than video,, weather there are dropped frames or not. Does anyone have had sameproblem, or having some idea how to fix this?
I didn"t get the "Sync" version to work that well either...It is Rather Old now anyways.... First make sure you are Captureing to a Seperate fast defragmented Hard Drive because you will usually Drop frames if you try to Capture to a Low Compression AVI format(Huffyuv,PicVideo,Uncompressed) to the Same Drive that your OS and programs are Installed on..This is because you Hrive can not Write that much data while at the same Time haveing to read from the Same Drive without dropping Frames..... If you are Captureing to a Highly Compressed AVI format(DivX,XviD,Mpeg-4,Ect) then you have to have a very fast PC, I would say 2.5ghz to 3.0ghz for Capture at Full resolution and Framerate to DivX or XviD Format as these Formats need an extremely Fast PC to Capture at Full resolution without dropping Frames..... Maybe Try useing "Virtual-VCR" and in it"s "Master Stream" setting set it to "Video" this will make it so if the Audio and Video start to go out of Sync the audio will be Dynamicly resampled to keep sync with the Video...If you are Dropping a Lot of Frames then there is noting you can do to keep it in Sync, well not for long..... You might also consider Captureing to a different Format Like "Mpeg-2" which can capture very good quality if you use the Right capture Software..... Cheers
I have AMD xp2000+ processor and 512 MB memory in capturing computer. Capture settings are: 380x280, RGB24, DivX5 800 bps, and uncompressed audio. CPU load is ussually somewhere 50% but still getting every time audio unsuncronisation. I'm using this version of VirtualDub because there I can set up the weekly timer for recording movies from TV. What could be the solution to fix VirtualDub or is there a better freeware software with these same functions? Should I try another sound card (SB Live!value) ?
FYI Problem solved: Original windows drivers didnt work properly. By installing the manufacturers latest audio drivers fixed this.
