    Hi all,

for a while now I have been converting DivX / Xvid > DVD with great results.

I have been using Virtualdub to extract AC3 encoded audio from source files and saving them as PCM WAV's with no issues at all. I have built a 2nd system as an upgrade, and installed all the regular tools I use, yet something isn't working.

When I extract (or attempt to exctract) the AC3 in Virtualdub using full processing mode I get the error "no audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format (source format tag: 2000)" which I pressume means it can't find a suitable codec to use.

I have installed ac3filter, as well as AC3 ACM Decompressor, and both work fantastically on my XP machine, however they don't seem to want to work on my Vista Ultimate setup?

    Any suggestions?

    Sorted.

    Bloody Vista x64!

Copied the AC3ACM.ACM file from c:\windows\system32 to c:\windows\sysWOW64 and works.
