VirtualDub and subtitles

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me how to add subtitles to avi files using VirtualDub? I'm trying to suss it for a while now but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

    Rename VSFilter.dll to vsfilter.vdf and copy/move to your plugins dir.
    Load movie.
    Use either textsub or vobsub plugin to load subs.
    Check it looks ok.
    Encode.

    I would recommend using VSFilter via AVISynth instead though. Then just load the avs and encode that.
