Im trying to put a bunch of files together. 40 of them to be exact. They are about 60-70mb each. After i segment them all in virtualdub *using Append AVI Segment* and try to "save as avi" the output size is like 300gb. For one file it took 3.99gb for 9 minutes of video *since 4gb is fat32 limit*.
Why is it this big? Im trying to put these avi's to play on a dvd and the one guide said I should segment them into one file. Is there something im missing or doing wrong?

Your Problem is that you have the audio and Video On "Full Proscessing Mode" and you have not chosen a Compression Codec so the the Files are being rendered as Uncompressed AVI which takes up Huge ammounts of Space...So set the Audio and Video to "Direct Stream Copy" and then the Files will come out the Normal size, or Choose a Codec in the Compression settings But This way you will loose some Quality so the "Direct stream Copy" setting is Best...Cheers
