im new to the whole vdub prog and i downloaded opened but when i goto load an avi file it comes up with codec decompressor(XVID) unknown, needs vfw file error. now i have an essential codec pack for windows, all my movies play just fine but i cant seem to get a file to load into vdub, every movie i try is saying the same thing! can someone please help? thanx
VirtualDub requires VFW codecs. You can download the XviD codec here: http://www.xvid.org/ Or install the ffdshow filter, which has a VFW configuration that can be used. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/ffdshow_install_configure.cfm
