hi, im trying to capture video from my capture card using virtualdub 1.5.10. everytime i try and set the capture resolution above 384 x 288 i get an error at the bottom left of the window which says Status 411 and no video will be captured. it works fine up to that resolution but not above.

i would just like to know if it is my pc hardware that is the problem.
i have P4 HT 3.06GHz, 512mb ddr ram, 64mb onboard graphics, and total 400gb hard disk space. would it help if i added some more RAM and if so how much should i add?

    thanks for any help

Try Captureing in a Different Colorspace them you might be able to Capture at a Higher Resolution...

Virtual-Dub is a VFW Capture Program and Most Capture Cards use WDM Drivers which are Not Compatible so V-Dub uses a WDM Wrapper so it can capture from WDM Capture devices but it doesn"t allways work Properly and this is Probably why you are Haveing problems....

I suggest you use a WDM Capture Program Like "Virtual-VCR" which should let you capture at the Highest Resolution your Capture device Supports and also seems to keep Better Sync than V-Dub.....

    Cheers
