virus changed something in xp

    i download a .exe file and used it too no success then i get warning saying something changed something in the important part of windows xp
    then my explorer(not inexplorer but background explorer) crashes so i run explorer through task manger using the run function it crash again every time i open my documents or anything like that it stops and crashes i have ran hijack this windows malware removal windows defender malware got it but the file or files it changed are still busted
    i don't know which file so i can't just replace it through my other os vista or use xp i do it quickly before explorer crashes i would reinstall but i have over 50 gigs of data that i don't want to loss located in my documents and can't get them through vista
    so any advice would be helpful but i shall not loss that data it would take too long to get back

    i can't run those programs since explorer kept's on closing and closing the installation window

    4. Download all three files to a folder on your desktop. Extract both zip files to the same folder. double click the sysclean file and follow the prompt. Click on the advanced button underneath for more options prior to scanning.

    16. After all this and your system is still compromised/infected, Start your PC in "Safe Mode"

    b. Please note that some programs don’t support safe mode and will not function.
