I had Kaspersky Anti-Virus that my pc repair shop installed aafter reformatting and installing windows, but it was out of date (last time it was updated was november 2006 and i couldn't update due to a dial up connection). I recently istalled NOD32 Business Edition and when it started it found a virus on both my drives (C and D). I deleted the file but the message keeps coming again and again. IT says OBJECT: D:\autorun.inf (also C:\autorun.inf) Threat: INF/Autorun virus COMMENT: Event occured on a file modified by the application: \??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe I went in folder optins from tools and choose SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS to try and find the file and delete it. But after I click ok no files show up. when I go back to folder options it still says DO NOT SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS Someone lpease help as the NOD32 THREAT FOUND window keeps appearing and stops me from opening programs beacuse it doesnt minimise. SOMEBODY PLEASEEEEEE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Download HijackThis. Open HJK. Click, Do a system scan and save a logfile. Post the log here for review.
I solved the problem. I updated the anti-virus and did a full system scan. A virus was found somwhere in the C and D drives that was causing the virus to re-appear. NOD32 fixed th problem, and it is fine now. Thanks anyway
