    Hi all,
first off, sorry if this is in the wrong area, i don't know where it might go... if it is, please feel free to move it :)

Now, to business: I need help. A virus has logged the passwords used for our major online accounts, and the creator has used them and hacked our account; some of these websites include: an email account (GMail), a Rapidshare account, a forum account, and a Web hosting account... and we don't know when they were retrieved, and off which of our computers it was taken off. We use ESET NOD32 Security Suite AV software, always up to date, and often check for viruses and spyware... i don't know what else to do, and how we can possibly secure the issue... can anyone please help?? Our OS is Windows XP if that makes any difference...

    Please help!

    Thanks in advance,
    Dronnoc (Who_U)

well it sounds like they put a keylogger on your computer.a keylogger is something that tells them what keys you've pressed.Kinda virus/spyware.you would probably get a bit more info/help in the virus section.

    here

ive had 1 email account hacked while using a librarys computer.maybe contact the staff running your email and other stuff.they should be able to block your account until you get it sorted out.

Thanks ddp, i had no idea where to put it :) i am using ESET NOD32 Security Suite, and Spybot S&D for anti-spyware.

and xboxdvl2, i have managed to regain access (finally!) back into our email account :) however, i do believe you are right in saying its a key-logger :)

    Thankyou for the responses!
