I've come across a problem with a .dll file located in my Program Files instead of my system32 folder. AVG has picked it up as a threat so I healed it and moved it to vault but everytime I reboot comes right back. I went into safe mode and tried to replace the file but it said access denied. The threat that AVG picks up is The virus is called Trojan horse BackDoor.Hupigon3.MRB. The .dll file is named Wab64.dll. Looking for any possible help. hi, latest hjt log looks ok. hows it on that end? dont understand, AVG saying "ignore" to something? echoreply
hi, ok after you do a scan with AVG, there is a way to get the report. in Ewido (former AVG anti-spyware)there was a button at the top like "save report" or just get the last scan's report and post the report in next reply. if its long you can edit out the cookies from the report. echoreply
I was unable to get the AVG Anti-Spyware report but I did do a scan with PandaSecurity(ActiveScan). I was unable to post the report though so I uploaded the .txt file on yousendit. ActiveScan Report

Well I managed somehow to delete the virus file through Safe Mode, so I guess everything is alright now unless it reappears and now I have Anti-Spyware software (didn't know how risky spyware was). Thanks for the help.
ok if you say so. last: i would make a new restore point: One of the features of Windows ME or XP is the System Restore option, however if a malware infects a computer with this operating system it can be backed up in the System Restore folder. Therefore, clearing the restore points is a good idea after malware is removed. To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account. (winXP) 1. Turn off System Restore. (deletes old possibly infected restore point) On the Desktop, right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Check Turn off System Restore. Click Apply, and then click OK. 2. Reboot. 3. Turn ON System Restore.(new restore points on a clean system) On the Desktop, right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*. Click Apply, and then click OK, then reboot
