hi guys and girls, ive got 2 problems with my computer atm and dont know what they are.

1st has been happening for about 5 months, in which it automatically turns on about 5am most mornings, ive searched through all my programs and task manager and cant find anything that would turn it on.

2nd has juts been for the last couple of weeks, in which you'll be using the computer normally and then out of the blue it'll go into sleep mode and it cant be woken up, the only way to stop it is to turn it off at the wall for a bit, but then when i tun it back on at the wall the computer automatically starts up again ?

ive done countless spybit and virus scans but cant find anything, so just though i would post a HJT log and get you guys to check it out foir me see if theres anything suss in there.

also can you check if there is anything oin there i can delete to make my computer/net run faster, as for the last 2 weeks my net has been lagging a bit and ive rung the ISP and they say everything is fine, if i do a speed test i get results of 9mb wnload rate, but straight after that i go and download something like a song file and it take up to 20mins to DL 4mb wtf?

if your computer turns on and off by itself might want to check the wiring inside it or check the power switch isnt faulty.

Hi aussiejoe, here’s a little help:

Step # 1: Remove Hijackthis Entries

    • Run HijackThis
    • Click on the Scan button

Put a check beside all of the items listed below (if present):

    O2 - BHO: NCO 2.0 IE BHO - {602ADB0E-4AFF-4217-8AA1-95DAC4DFA408} - (no file)

    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {7FEBEFE3-6B19-4349-98D2-FFB09D4B49CA} - (no file)

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{FE0B84CE-FDE6-4B49-99E7-8765088B0B3A}: NameServer = 93.188.162.187,93.188.166.160

    O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 93.188.162.187,93.188.166.160

    O17 - HKLM\System\CS3\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 93.188.162.187,93.188.166.160

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 93.188.162.187,93.188.166.160

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: avgrsstarter - avgrsstx.dll (file missing)

Close all open windows and browsers/email, etc...
    • Click on the "Fix Checked" button
    • When completed, close the application.

    Step # 2: Run MalwareBytes’ Anti-malware

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <-- Don't forget this.
    • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt

    • Please post the MBAM Log and a fresh HJT log in your next reply and let me know any problems you are still having…

This program is the Nvidia nView Desktop Manager Configuration Wizard, which provides an interface for configuring and managing Nvidia graphics products on systems in which they are installed. Perfectly Safe!

Spybot is old technology that hasn’t kept up with the new, sophisticated Malware and I never recommend it for cleaning an infected machine..

MalwareBytes’ AntiMalware and SUPERAntiSpyware are the best choice right now…

The Trojan that was found had a call home number to the Ukraine and with a handle like aussiejoe, I couldn’t make myself believe you really wanted it…. LOL

Let me know how things go and, if necessary, we can dig deeper :)
