hi, i got a virus which after a lot of frustration i got rid of. but my computer is running very slowly (windows xp) i am getting 4.0mps from my broadband but it is taking ages to get from page to page. is there anything i can do to speed things up
First step is to check the system for infections. Download HijackThis. http://www.download.com/3000-8022_4-10781312.html Run HJK. Do a system scan and save a logfile. Post the log here.
problem now sorted. downloaded registry easy and now computer is flying. thanks for advice, wish i had read it sooner and saved 20 quid. cheers and all the best for 2008
