Vision Express 3 won't complete the image file

My current install of Vision Express 3 will not complete
the image file from an .avi.


The prog runs fine but will stall. The preview screen
goes 'green' from where the images from the file flash
by while transcoding.


I usually see this after a screen saver has been on and I
wiggle the mouse to get the picture going again.

Other thing that happens is the trancoding screen comes
back on in sections and then finally completes.

The hourglass keeps going, the timer keeps counting up
but the transcoding job is hung up at that point.


I can't turn off my monitor screen saver: it kicks in
automagically.


This had not been a problem previously that I recall.

What I did do lately is put in the SMCPatch specified at
Nero. But the problem was going on before that.


Is there a way to go back to Nero Vision 2 or fix
the current transcoding dropout.

My system is pretty new: Celeron D 2.93 gHz. It's been
going for about 6 months with a Benq 1620 drive and
'w' firmware.


But this problem is at the program level from .avi to
transcode to burn procedure.
