I have DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 and tried to use it with Windows Vista. I am getting errors that say "Failed to set data for...".

Is there something I need to set up?

I can only help out from an XP users viewpoint. Vista is an OS that I personally dont care to get. DvdDecrypter along with DVD Shrink have not been updated for a considerable time. (keep them regardless)

You might need another Ripper to get you through. My choices are SLYSOFT's DVD Clone and AnyDVD, although not free, they are worth the cash.

    Need more? then go HERE.

There are freeware solutions along with shareware, with guides to boot!

    Enjoy.

    1. Launch MSCONFIG by from the Run menu.

    2. Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAP" Click on that line.

    3. Press the Launch button.

    4. A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.

    5. Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.

On the second step (2) I did not find “Disable UAP” but had “Disable UAC” did that, then rebooted, now DVD Decrypter and Shrink both work.

    Thanks So Much
