well when xp home is installing it coppies he files and it comes up with (files will not coppie this maystop wxp from working) and you hae to skip them and it also says whn it it about to instal this may not work because you have another operation system on the p.c
did you delete the old partition & make a new partition then format it as doesn't sound like you did?
If you have a XP disc and you know what brand hard drive you have use their hard drive install disc erase the drive and boot from the XP disc from ther you can reformat your hard drive and install XP
i sorted it but then it eas to hard so i went back 2 vista its well easy 2 set up the internet on vista
Good luck I'm going to run XP until they work out all the bugs your not the only one that wants to downgrade
i no there,s only some good stuff to vista it seems lyk every1 h8,s it but u hav 2 go onto it sooner or later
